Jason Trimble

Head Pastor
Pastor Jason has been part of our church family since the age of four, when his family moved here. After growing up in our congregation, God began shaping his heart for ministry early on. In 2012, he started serving with the youth group, and the next year he answered God’s call to preach. His very first sermon in 2013, titled“Just Show ’em the Cross,”still reflects the message that drives his ministry today—pointing people to Jesus.

Over the years, Jason has faithfully served in many roles: voted in as part-time Youth Pastor in 2014, ordained in 2015, and then called to serve as Associate Pastor in 2022. On April 12, 2025, our church family joyfully voted him in as Pastor, following in the footsteps of his father, who faithfully pastored here for 40 years.

Outside the pulpit, Jason has worked in the automotive maintenance field since high school, serving the last 20 years as a maintenance manager. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 23 years, and together they are blessed with three children.

Pastor Jason is known for his love for people—but even more, his deep love for God and His Word. He is passionate about sharing the Gospel, serving others, and leading our church family to grow in faith and in Christ’s love.

Mark Kelly

Administrative Director
Mark was saved at the age of seven in Sunday school in Carlisle, Indiana, and ever since has had a desire to serve the Lord and help others grow in their faith. He and his wife, Marsha, along with their three children, began attending True Light in 1991 and became members in 1995. Soon after, God opened doors for him to serve—first as Sunday School Superintendent in 1996, then as a teacher in 1997. In 2002, he joined the staff full time as Director of Education and Activities.

Through the years, he has overseen Christian education, organized church activities, and assisted the pastor with administrative responsibilities. He brings with him over 30 years of experience in real estate, as well as time in the food service and commercial sign industries.

Above all, his heart is to support the pastor, strengthen the church, and encourage believers to grow in Christ.

DEACONS

Louis Davis

Louis was gloriously saved on February 22, 1959, at Creston True Light Baptist Church. Just a few months later, on May 22, 1959, he married his wife, Florence King Davis. Together they were blessed with three children, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way in March 2026, who continue to bring joy to their family.

In 1964, he was ordained as a deacon and has faithfully served the Lord and the people of True Light Baptist Church for more than 60 years. Throughout this time, he and Florence have counted it a privilege to serve side by side in ministry, supporting the church through prayer, encouragement, and a steadfast example of faithfulness.

His heart’s desire is to see God continue to bless True Light Baptist Church in the years to come, and he remains grateful for the opportunity to serve Christ and his church with humility and love.

Gary Marcum

Gary first began attending Creston True Light Baptist Church in 1962 as a young student and was saved there during a revival on May 19, 1968. Just two years later, he answered God’s call to preach, beginning a ministry that would span more than three decades. Over the years, he pastored three churches and faithfully served for nearly 32 years before retiring in 2022.

In April 2022, he returned to True Light, where his journey of faith first began. Blessed with two sons and five grandchildren from his first marriage to the late L. Diana Davis, he now shares life with his wife, Diana L. Norris, and her wonderful family of three children and nineteen grandchildren.

Even in retirement, his heart remains devoted to serving the Lord, encouraging others, and cherishing the blessings of family and faith.

John Caudill Sr.

Born on October 6, 1961, John married his wife, Melody, in 1981. Together they have been blessed with two children, a son-in-law ,daughter in law and four grandchildren. He was saved on February 17, 1991, and baptized later that spring on May 5.

After surviving a serious car accident, John has often been called a walking miracle—a reminder to him of God’s greatness and purpose. He firmly believes the Lord has kept him here for a reason. Answering God’s call to serve as a deacon, he is grateful for the opportunity to follow His will, serve the church, and share the hope of the Gospel.

John often reflects on Jesus’ words in John 4:35:“ Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already unto harvest.” With that heart, he is committed to helping carry out the work God has given the church to do.

Eddie Furniss

Eddie came to know the Lord as his Savior in August of 1982 during a church ring service, a decision that forever changed his life. Since then, he has been passionate about pointing others to Jesus Christ and encouraging people with the truth of God’s Word.

During the week, Eddie works at Ball State University, but his greatest joy comes from serving the Lord and spending time with family. He and his wife, Kim, have been married for 33 years and are blessed with children and grandchildren who bring them much joy. In his free time, he enjoys studying the Bible, singing, watching car restoration shows, and gathering with loved ones.

Eddie has seen God’s faithfulness again and again and looks forward with great expectation to all that He will continue to do to build His kingdom. His life is guided by the promise of John 3:16–17 : “ For God so loved the world…”

Chad has the privilege of serving as a deacon at True Light Baptist Church, where his heart is to encourage others, strengthen the body of Christ, and faithfully serve wherever there is a need. He believes strongly in servant leadership and models his ministry after Christ’s example of humility, compassion, and dedication to others.

Professionally, Chad leads CRU Construction LLC, a construction and remodeling company based in Muncie, Indiana. He carries into his work the same values that guide him in ministry—integrity, excellence, teamwork, and a commitment to building strong relationships.

Chad’s desire in every area of life—whether at home, at church, or at work—is to glorify God, reflect Christ’s love, and remain faithful to the calling God has placed on his life.
